The Cape II

• Born and raised in Southern Georgia, Allan Friedlander spent time all over the United States and abroad, particularly in Northern California, exploring his passion for the countryside and his love of the outdoors. After studying art at Washington University and Maryland Institute College of Art, he spent years traveling the world as a photographer before transitioning into painting full time. Internally driven and emotionally charged, his work mixes multiple styles and combines flowers and landscapes in an abstract manner, with color being a key element. His work was selected for the Art in Embassies program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and was displayed at the U.S. embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan; his paintings are also part of numerous private and corporate collections.
