• A Nebraska-born artist, Stephen creates paintings that use representational art as a means of communicating visual poetry. Many of his works are named after rural areas, but he synthesizes his images from multiple locales. Through painting, he works to convey his inward response to the natural world, communicating a synthesis of real and conceptual responses, from emotions experienced to feelings imagined. His paintings, which incorporate both abstract concepts and a concrete sense of place, are displayed in corporate, public, and private collections around the world.
