- Savanna is a semi-transparent, warm mid-gray-brown stain with a brown glaze on elm veneer that hangs up in the open grain. The low sheen gives it a weathered look that is enhanced by distressing, both on the wood and at the finish level. The finish distressing includes moderate spatter, hand padding, and dry brushing. The physical distressing includes softened corners and edges, heavy chisel, and random heavy rasping giving it a well-loved antique look.
