- Rustic Black is an opaque black painted finish, with a cool brown undercoat and a low sheen on oak veneer. Light paint crackle across the surface completes the time worn effect. The physical distressing includes highly worn edges and corners, moderate random awl marks, wire brushing, and rasping. It has heavy rub-through on the corners, edges, and raised areas, allowing the brown undercoat to show through giving it a highly worn, antiqued appearance.
