- Shark Fin is a silver-gray, semi-transparent stain with a metallic effect and a medium sheen, applied to maple. Distressing of the wood and the finish layer creates an antiqued look. The finish distressing includes black glaze, dry brushing, and hand padding. The physical distressing includes softened corners and edges, moderate random peck marks, moderate awl marks to simulate worm holes, and light random rasping.
