- Pumice is a semi-transparent, mid taupe gray stain applied to maple, combined with a dark glaze that creates a warm taupe finish, and with a medium sheen. The finish distressing includes hand padding, dry brushing, subtle spatter, cow tailing, and light hand wiping to even out the finish while also darkening the edges. The physical distressing includes softened corners and edges, light peck marks and light rasping on edges.
