By taking the lead on designing, developing, and delivering everything we make, we can safeguard the quality of our products from start to finish.
UPHOLSTERY
We begin each upholstery piece with a frame crafted from engineered hardwood, much of which comes from sustainable forests. We also source the finest fabrics in the world—all of which meet or exceed industry standards, about half from the U.S.—and cut and color-blend our leathers by hand.
FURNITURE
In our Beecher Falls, Vermont, workshop, we still mill our own logs; our lumber inspection team in Pine Valley, North Carolina, can still tell with one glance whether a piece of maple, cherry, oak, or birch meets our quality standards. We still dry lumber in our own kilns, craft traditional joinery that stands the test of time, and apply wood veneers and metallic leaf by hand.
LIGHTING
Working with specialized elements unique to their regions—ceramics from Europe, fine metals from India, stone and fabrics from around Southeast Asia—a select coterie of artisans use techniques passed down for generations to fashion one-of-a-kind jewels for your home.
ARTWORK & HOME ACCENTS
Each piece of Ethan Allen artwork is printed in high-quality giclée inks, framed by hand, and passes a 10-point quality inspection before leaving the workshop for your home. We also travel the world in search of accents made by the finest artisans in existence. Sand-casted metal, hand-thrown ceramics—each piece is a showcase of unparalleled skill.
RUGS
Many area rugs offered by Ethan Allen are created exclusively for us by a hand-selected group of artisans. Depending upon the delicacy of the design, the intricacy of the knot count, and the size of the rug, some can take close to a year to craft.
MATTRESSES
Benchmade in the U.S. from the finest components, like gel‑infused foam and tempered, individually wrapped innerspring coils, Ethan Allen mattresses are rigorously tested for quality and backed by a 10-year warranty on workmanship and materials.
