• A native of Chicago, Sandra Pratt briefly attended the Art Institute of Chicago; however, she is primarily a self-educated painter. She finds inspiration from memories and daily experience as well as from time spent in the French countryside. Her romanticized landscapes, smoky and introspective, convey a universal representation of space. She uses a palette knife to lay down color and texture, building them up to use as catalysts for an emotional response.
