The terra-cotta clay for this urn was extracted from the banks of the River Arno, which flows across the Tuscan plain on its way to the Ligurian Sea. Each piece is thrown and glazed by hand for us in Montelupo, Italy, a source of fine pottery since the days of the Renaissance; no two are the same.
