Get inspired. Before you head for the Design Center, peruse decorating magazines. Tear out the wallpaper ideas that immediately grab your attention. Or check out our New Classics online.

Establish an aesthetic. What look are you going for? Is it classic country? Updated traditional? Clean and modern? This answer will help filter your choices considerably.

Consider color. Oranges, yellows and reds create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, while greens, blues and purples lend a fresh, soothing feeling. Don’t want to commit to something so bold?
Go for a neutral palette. Sophisticated and timeless, neutrals will give you the artistic touch you’re after.
