It’s a case of the blues like we’ve never had – and we couldn’t be happier about it. Blue, always a classic, is hot – and cool. It can work its magic in tiny doses or in large ones. It has an emotional range – tranquil to exuberant, buttoned- down to barefoot on the beach – that can’t be beat. The truth is, whatever your taste and style, there’s a blue out there for you.

Here’s a look at the blues we love this season:

Navy
The perfect blue suit – that’s where we started. Navy on the walls can bring drama or intimacy (or both). Crisp, smart, tailored: Think nautically and bring on plenty of white – upholstery, trim, carpets, if you dare – and polished nickel or antiqued brass. Sophisticated and modern: Break out the color wheel! A pop of vivid orange or a splash of margarita-bright green shows off navy’s wild side.

Turquoise
Wonderfully confident and bursting with energy! When turquoise is the star of the show, it shares its glorious, tropical island vibe. Mix in white and gray (yes, gray!) for a retro-mod look that’s cutting-edge current. Add the brilliance of crystal, glass, or anything mirrored, and you’ve set a course for the heart of glamour.

Robin’s Egg
Sweet, subtle, calming. Soft enough to float on. Refreshing enough to drink. A natural partner for creams and cocoas (picture that blue egg in its nest and you’ll see why).
