Leather fans are a devoted bunch. What makes us tick? Why are we so crazy about living with leather? Yes, it’s durable, but there’s more to our passion than that. Are we inspired by the timeless cool of the young Brando (think jeans, white T-shirt, leather jacket)? The intelligence of a library stocked with leather-bound books? Or were we simply exposed to rock-and-roll fashion at an impressionable age?

How can one material—leather—speak so eloquently to both the traditionalist and the rebel? The answer is its versatility: its remarkable ability to be whatever we need it to be—while still conveying strength of character and purpose. “Leather is durable and it looks good on any frame,” says one of our senior graphic artists, who wouldn’t upholster with anything else. “And I love how it feels and smells!”
