To prolong the beauty of your new purchase, please follow these simple instructions:

Dry cleaning is recommended for most bedcoverings to maintain like-new appearance. Although many of our cotton and linen bedcoverings are washable, please refer to care label for best results.

what to expect when you receive your new purchase

The packaging and shipping of bedcovering frequently results in minor wrinkling of the fabrics used, and there are different characteristics and handling needs for the variety of products and fabrics offered in our finished product lines.
Please refer to the description below for guidance on how to remedy minor wrinkles upon delivery.
Bedcovering items should be removed from packaging and allow to hang or lay on bed for a few days so wrinkles relax and begin to fall out.

Silk fabrics and silk poly fabrics:

  • Natural irregularities give the fabric it’s unique and desired character. The appearance of slubs and ridges are universally accepted as normal and should not be considered defects.
  • If necessary, steam silk to remove stubborn wrinkles, Please note a good quality steamer is needed so water spots won’t form from water spitting out from the steaming device.


100% cotton and 100% linen fabrics:

  • If necessary, gently iron on a high cotton or linen setting to remove wrinkles.

Ethan Allen shall select and utilize the best shipping method for your order based on the item and its packaging. Delivery on all items shipped via parcel post and in-home deliveries within 50 miles of an Ethan Allen design center are free.

The estimated delivery date is an estimate of the approximate date the product is expected to arrive and is subject to change. We will keep you informed on the progress of your order. Most items are in stock.

We ship parcel post items by UPS ground, FedEx ground or a similar type shipper. In-stock items typically ship within 24 to 72 hours of order acceptance. Express shipping is not available. We can only ship to destinations within the 48 contiguous United States. We regret that we cannot ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or to international locations. Please also note that special and remote locations deliveries such as island deliveries requiring ferry service will be special quoted and coordinated by our Internet Service Center professionals.

Once your order is placed, here’s what you can expect:

When your order is accepted, you will receive a confirmation email. When your order ships, you will receive another email including a tracking number. We estimate in-stock items will arrive within 7 to 10 days. If you have any questions regarding the status of items shipped via parcel post, please contact our Internet Service Center professionals and we will be happy to assist you.
