Nestled along the picturesque Provo River near Park City, Utah, this modern western ranch home offers beautiful views and access to a myriad of seasonal outdoor activities.

With nearly 4,000 square feet of living space, what’s not to love about the 16th HGTV Dream Home? Located near the resort town of Park City, Utah, this sprawling home was sited to capitalize on scenic views. Each space overlooks the Provo River, nearby hills, and mountains, with the best vantage point being in the Great Room—the hub of the home.

Designed to resemble an old stone structure, the Great Room bridges indoors and out with its many transom and French-style windows. Linda brought in lots of interesting textures and patterns to play off the stacked limestone on the walls. Inspired by the color of the Utah sky, she also incorporated shades of cool blue, which can be seen everywhere from the houndstooth fabric on our Parker chairs to the series of Ikat artwork above the fireplace to the pinstripe fabric on our Lewis ottomans, which are tucked neatly beneath the Turner desk.

The light and airy feeling continues throughout the home, which boasts a gourmet kitchen, three bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, and several other creatively designed living spaces—such as the Changing and Mud Rooms—that are perfect for live-in and guest adventurers. After all, Park City is known for its outdoor activities, including world-class skiing and snowboarding, snowmobiling, sleigh riding, dog sledding, mountain biking, hiking, golf, fly fishing, and horseback riding.

The story of the Master Bedroom begins with a smoky topaz wall color and luxurious fabrics in gold, rust, lime, and mocha hues. Inspired by the palette of hues seen in nearby meadows as they change with the seasons, Linda used our Maxime nine-light chandelier, Floral wall sconces, Monterey and Baldwin chairs, and Alison headboard to create a warm and welcoming feeling. Adjacent to the Master Bedroom, there is also a Master Sitting Room complete with Hartwell and Brant chairs and our cozy Avanti loveseat, and a Master Bathroom whose focal point is our Sherwood eight-light chandelier. Both areas make great places to relax and unwind.

The rest of the home was inspired by Mother Nature’s crayon box as well. In the Kitchen and Dining Room, the tile backsplash and Hadley side chairs are reminiscent of crystal-blue waters. In the two Bedroom Suites, lighter and darker shades of blue are a nod to the Provo River and sky. The first Bedroom Suite is on the main level beyond the Great Room and has a bed-and-breakfast vibe, thanks to our Quincy bed, Collin chairs, and Anna bedding in the soothing shade of Mineral. The second Bedroom Suite is upstairs over the Family/Entertainment Room and has an Old West theme. Linda tells us that our Foundation artwork served as her inspiration and that our Glamour eight-light chandeliers reminded her of modern wagon wheels. How exciting!

The living space extends beyond the home’s façade with an Outdoor Living Room, Entertainment Deck, and Hot Tub Deck—all furnished with pieces from our Biscayne collection. With easy access from both the Great Room and main level Bedroom Suite, the casual Outdoor Living Room invites cozy gatherings in front of the gas fireplace. An extension of the Outdoor Living Room, the boardwalk-style Entertainment Deck leads to a gathering area where conversation around a campfire takes on a modern twist. Four gas units, encased in glass and Utah limestone, form the focal point of this contemporary space. The nearby Hot Tub Deck offers a spot to kick back after a day spent outdoors.
