It was quite a summer for Ethan Allen. From the build-out of this brand new website to an exciting new ad campaign, it has truly been all about the well-designed home. It was only fitting to add the opening of a new, sophisticated, flagship Design Center in Manhattan to that creative buzz – which is exactly what we did.

Located at 1010 Third Avenue, in the heart of the decorative arts and design district, our innovative three-story Design Center was intended to bring our most modern, progressive ideas to life for our urban style-seekers. 1010 was designed to inspire clients and design professionals alike, each vibrant roomscape offering a unique design perspective and a glimpse into Ethan Allen’s new modern attitude for the way we live today.

From fashion-inspired wallpaper to palettes that captivated, 1010 quickly established itself as a home furnishings destination for the stylish set – and those who were simply looking to be inspired by great design.

Fashion and shelter magazine editors were invited to a pre-opening tour in June, to see what we had brewing behind the intriguing blacked-out windows emblazoned with the words pretty, sexy, chic, modern, cool, fresh, and elegant. Vogue, InStyle, Metropolitan Home, and Domino, among others, were nothing short of wowed. As familiar as most of the editors were with our brand, many were surprised and delighted by the diversity of collections and the cool, new Ethan Allen attitude.

Now, just a few short months after the opening, the buzz is still growing. We are incredibly proud of how far we’ve come – our role as one of Manhattan’s style setters is exciting and – just between us? – feels just right. Ethan Allen is about undeniable craftsmanship, timeless design, and practical living in the most stylish way possible. And, if you can imagine it, it only gets better from here.     Meet American Artisan. Crafted in our plants in Vermont and North Carolina from responsibly harvested Appalachian lumber, each piece has been treated to a water-based finish. To go with, we created a group of accessories with an eco-vibe.

    All of these natural beauties were inspired by the desire to soften our impact on the earth, while offering high style, high quality, excellent value and modern design.
