We all strongly believe in keeping alive the best traditions while always seeking to enhance them with the best innovation. That’s our spirit every day at Ethan Allen.
During this celebration, we are offering celebration pricing through June 15. We are also celebrating our services – interior design on the house, free local white glove delivery, UPS shipping. We also celebrate lasting quality, eco-friendly and great American style.
“I came to the United States at age 21, and, as an American by choice, I’m keenly aware of how this remarkable country constantly offers up opportunities for excellence and innovation” said Farooq Kathwari, President & CEO of Ethan Allen. “
At its start, the company offered only Early American and Colonial designs. Today, in what Mr. Kathwari refers to as “The American period of home furnishings design,” Ethan Allen’s designs are a fresh American interpretation of styles and inspiration that come to America from all corners of the world. This spring—from April 23rd through June 15th—the company will be Celebrating American Innovation with special celebration pricing on new, eco-friendly, and other selected furniture and accessories (visit ethanallen.com, keyword search “celebration” for the whole list).
“I’m happy to share the news that we have received the 2009 Vermont Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence and Pollution Prevention for initiatives in our plants in Vermont. We’ve had our Beecher Falls, Vermont factory since 1936, and it’s a great source of pride for all of us that it and our seven other U.S. plants are still in operation today. We all strongly believe in keeping alive the best traditions while always seeking to enhance them with the best innovations,” said Mr. Kathwari. The Governor of Vermont presented the award at a ceremony on April 20th in Montpelier.
Lasting quality and careful attention to detail are cornerstones of the company. Approximately sixty-five percent of Ethan Allen’s products are made in America, and all are made to the company’s high standards. Exceptional service—from complimentary design service with in-house calls, to free local white-glove delivery and set-up—is an integral part of Ethan Allen’s value and sets the company apart in an age of sameness.
Fine craftsmanship, advanced technology—in the plants and on the company’s innovative new website—and the personal services of design professionals gives Ethan Allen its unique position as a full-service, interior design company with a wide-reaching retail, manufacturing, and distribution network. Visitors to ethanallen.com can shop online and even plan ahead for later purchases using an online tool called My Projects. There, they can create idea boards (downloading photos, fabric swatches, and more) and collaborate online with a design pro from an Ethan Allen Design Center.
“A 77-year history of craftsmanship, technology, service, and style makes all of us at Ethan Allen very proud to be Celebrating American Innovation” said Mr. Kathwari.
